The Battle Point osprey relocated atop the cell tower at the Battle Point Park water tower about five years ago after their longstanding nest on the Ferry Dell Trail blew down in a severe winter storm.
They migrate south to Central and South America in early September and return in early spring every year to breed on Bainbridge Island. The young are fledging now, getting ready to depart for their first flight south.
